What Does SOC 2 Compliant Mean?
SOC 2, which stands for Systems and Organization Controls 2, is a voluntary compliance standard that specifies how an organization should manage the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of its customer's data.
For an organization to be SOC 2 compliant they need to prove that they have security controls in place to prevent malicious attacks, and the unauthorized deletion, misuse, alteration, or disclosure of its customer’s private information.
How Did Agorapulse Become SOC 2 Compliant?
We worked with Vanta, a leading security and compliance platform, to become SOC 2 compliant. Together, we successfully passed a series of on-site audits to prove that our internal information systems and controls met the strict SOC 2 compliance requirements. Some of the security controls that were audited included:

- Security incident handling
- Network/application firewalls
- Encryption
- Two-factor authentication
- Performance monitoring
The SOC 2 audits were designed to test our security and information systems and allow us to prove that we have the ability to protect your data from cyber attacks, breaches, and other malicious activity.
